Cute piggy
I've got to get some time to interview him but this is "Doc" Long. He is 91 years old, has been a sharpshooter in the military, a surgeon for over 50 years, and a #cattleman for another 50 (among dozens of other things). He has more # information and #experience about things than anyone I have ever met ... and does he have some stories! Will try to pin him down later but here is him talking about #bluestem #freeskystudios #makingfriends ... See MoreSee Less

And he kept a straight face through all. Lol
I’m sure he will have some great stories.
Guys like that have forgotten more than we will ever learn in our lifetime…. They are truly the greatest generation. 👍

Peaches ready yet? What a treat.
On the road again...
Packed up and heading west to do a quick series of logos for Certified Angus Beef ® brand . First stop, Briarwood Angus in Butler, MO, then up to the dusty plains of Olivet, SD, and then finishing up out in Palisade, NE. Am looking forward to getting to meet the ranchers, learn how they do thier thing, experience the local culture and cuisine, and squeeze in some #fishing and #naturetime . #staytuned #freeskystudios #ontheroadagain @certifiedangusbeef #travel #signpainting

Safe travels! It’s great that you also enjoy the fringe benefits of your art!
Safe trip.. pictures please .. love to see your work . Enjoy
You are on the move for sure! Safe travels!
This is why I do what I do.
After spending the past week getting to know the family at Maplecrest Farms and getting to know them, Lindsey sent me this text. I won't go into details of their story but they have dealt with a lot and it reminds me how just doing my job and just being present, inquisitive, and sincere can mean more to people than I can ever imagine.
This life is truly mysterious and every job I go on I never know what to expect but am always so incredibly humbled by the lessons I learn, the people I meet, and the ripples that radiate from it. It is so humbling.

Keep being you Troy and making a difference in the lives you touch! This is awesome.
So happy you have a job that fits you. Got to enjoy each day.
Process photos from the #ranch to Table #logopainting for @certifiedangusbeef .
I have done over 90 locations for CAB but never painted this #logo before so it took a bit of planning to figure out. It took some time. Between #painting on corrugated metal, the 100plus degree heat indexes, and the multiple gradients going up and down, left and right, and radiating from the center, I went through a LOT of tape and spent most of the time just masking but it turned out pretty good. #handpainted #signpaint #signpainters #signpainter #branding #freeskystudios #certifiedangusbeef #ranchtotable

Lookin good!
Excellence to the T
Event will be at the McLean County Museum of History on the Square in Downtown Bloomington.
It is so cool to see the mural I painted last year being put to work as the backdrop for free movie's. I've painted quite a few cool public pieces but none of them can actually be "used" . It was just such a cool idea and I'm so happy to see it being used and people enjoying it! ... See MoreSee Less

Wow! That is huge! Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
That’s huge. You can do it, I know you can.
This #mural design integrates #route66 iconography, #retro graphics, and old billboards and signage from the original #pepsi bottlers that owned the building back in the day mixed with imagery and #branding for the new owners at Weber Electric. The final piece is a colorful, nostalgic wall that pays homage to the past while looking toward the future.
Really enjoyed working on this one and getting to know the crew at Weber. All great people and a great company.
