Artist Notes: Below are the initial pencil sketches for this wonderful childrens book project. This is a very dear little tale about Dominic, an orphaned tree and the turmoil he encounters in his early life. The final illstrations will be a detailed mixed media of pencil drawing and watercolor. At this point, the sketches are done and I will move on to cleaning up these sketches and adding in detail and shading.
